How do I sign up to play football?

Step One: Determine where you live.

• Each association is designated a recruitment zone, some are exclusive to the club, some are shared. Read below to determine which association(s) are active in your area.

Step Two: Click on the map to go to a list of community football associations.

• Once you have determined which Minor Football Association is in your area, contact them directly. The association will be pleased to register your child to play!
• Clicking on the map to the left will take you to a page listing website links to the appropriate association's website.

You are eligible to play for the following associations based on your primary residence address. If you live in:

North of the North Saskatchewan River:  

North Edmonton Minor Football Association (Seahawks)

West Edmonton Raiders

Southside of North Saskatchewan River: 

Mill Woods Minor Football Association (Grizzlies & Maulers)

South Edmonton Minor Football Association (Chargers)

South West Edmonton Minor Football Association (Mustangs)

How to determine your age division:

There are 4 formal age groups for minor football in Alberta.

• Atom are players who turn 10 or under before December 31
• Peewee are players who turn 11 or 12 during the current year
• Bantam are players who turn 13, 14 or 15 during the current year and who are not entering grade 10 in September of this year
• Midget are players will be graduating Bantams (grade 9’s) and Grade 10 and 11 players who are not turning 19 in the calendar year

Ardrossan:  Atom and Peewee - Strathcona County Minor Football Association.  Atom/Peewee/Bantam ages - Sherwood Park Rams.   Peewee and Bantam - Sherwood Park Northstars.  Bantam - Sherwood Park Wolverines.

Beaumont:  Beaumont Minor Football Association

Camrose:  Rose City Football Association, Camrose Minor Football Association

Devon: Leduc Minor Football Association

Fort Saskatchewan:  Fort Saskatchewan Minor Football Association.

• North of TWP 534:  Fort Saskatchewan Minor Football
• South of TWP 534 & East of Highway 21 & North of Baseline Road: Atom and Peewee ages - Strathcona County Minor Football Association, Fort Saskatchewan Minor Football Association.  Bantam ages - the Sherwood Park Northstars, the Sherwood Park Rams and the Sherwood Park Wolverines and Fort Saskatchewan Minor Football Association.
